Looks like I have a bit of a boy streak happening again. This little 3 week old man marks 9 newborn sessions in a row of boys. He was stubborn to fall asleep and just wanted to visit, but as soon as he was swaddled with a warm hat on, he drifted to sleep and was golden until it was time to go. Congrats W&G! I’m sure he’ll be chasing your furry babies in no time : )

This little man must’ve known it was Mother’s Day yesterday, he was so good to me! He was sleeping when he arrived and stayed that way for almost an hour, until he decided it was time to eat. After that, he was contented and relaxed for some awake shots. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mommas out there, and a very special one to “P” on her first Mother’s Day!

Little man J came into the studio with everything he needed. Pre session beauty nap – check, nice full belly – check, clean diaper – check, smiling and happy for pictures – umm no lol. Mom & Dad tried everything to soothe him and get him to stop fussing but J was just not feeling the camera…oh wait, remove clothes and be free – check! That made all the difference in the world ; ) The rest of the session was smooth sailing. I will post some family photos soon, as mom did an amazing job at coordinating everyone’s clothes…until J demanded he not wear any.

Baby L is not the typical age I normally photograph, but lucky for us he was a pretty contented baby boy. At 8 weeks old, he let us know loud and clear that he did not want to be in any of the typical newborn poses, so we improvised. Poses in exchange for chubba cheeks like these I’d say is a fair trade ; )

It’s not hard to tell from my branding that I love bright colors. With newborns I often do more subdued tones, but I love throwing in a bright set into almost every session. This little man was just 7 days old and he let us know right after this set that he was done.

Often when I get newborns over the age of 2weeks they are less than cooperative, so when baby W, who was 4 weeks old came in, I was prepared for a loooong session. To our wonderful surprise, he was ah-mazing!! I hope he stayed that way for the long ride back to the country ; )

This little man sure made me work for it. He fought sleep so hard, all he wanted to do was be snuggled. Even tho he made me work as hard as I did, it’s images like these that make it so worth it! It was so great meeting you E and Grandma, your patience and sweetness were greatly appreciated, perhaps next time we can get M in a few ; )

Lets’ start from the beginning. This is me almost 31 years ago. (no that is not a wig lol) This is pretty much when the spoiling began and it has continued ever since. Me getting spoiled on my birthday is a huge under statement, it’s my absolute favourite day of the entire year thanks to all my friends and family. Is it bad that I’m so spoiled if I appreciate it?

Not only do I have a bithDAY, I have a birthMONTH. I think this was finalized when my father in law told me he had to fill out paper work and where it asked what is your daughter in law’s birthdate, he wrote March 1-31. Hehehe.

So how has my birthMONTH been celebrated thus far? Well on the weekend there was rock climbing, zip lining, fireworks and a pinata! It was an amazing evening filled with some of my closest friends. Tuesday was a girls night out at one of my fav restaurants. I received some sweet cards and gifts, but best of all was the time spent gabbing non stop, in only a way that close girlfriends can do.

Yesterday, being my actual birthday was beyond awesome! I woke up to sunshine and a handwritten letter from the hubby that made me tear up and a GC for a new swimsuit. (so scared!) My kids sang me happy birthday and gave me homemade cards before sending them to school. I received numerous calls, texts and emails wishing me a happy bday. I got my fav song played on hot 103. Met one of my best friends for a seafood lunch. My neighbor serenaded me with happy birthday on the bag pipes, and I got to wear my fav heels while basking in the sun for the remainder of the afternoon.

On tonite’s agenda, supper cooked by the hubby with some of my family, then off to dinner on sunday to celebrate with the other side.

Life is good! I write this post, not to brag at how lucky and fortunate I am, but to show my appreciation for everyone who puts up with my over the top birthday crazed attitude filled month. You guys all make me feel so special, thanks for putting up with me – luv ya!
